Hazel Gap Barn

Hazel Gap Barn - the venue that needs no introduction. If you’re local to the East Midlands or Yorkshire, you’ll likely use Hazel Gap Barn as the standard in which to measure every other barn wedding venue by - it really is that good.

When I first launched Monkeymole Photography, the words to my better half were along the lines of “the dream is to work at venues like Hazel Gap Barn”. Now that I’m lucky enough to be a recommended supplier and it fills a large part of my diary, it’s somewhat overdue for me to get a blog post out.

Beth + Tom had a really clear vision in how they wanted their day to look, and how they wanted photography to be a part of it. The focus was on capturing the true enjoyment of the day from everyone involved, without taking them both away for hours on end (music to my ears).

To quote Beth: “Tom would say I’m obsessed with wedding planning”, but the meticulous levels of detail Beth had gone to could be seen everywhere. No better example of this could be given than the spare room at Beths parents house being converted into a stunner of a bridal prep suite!

From the moment I arrived in the morning right on through to stealing pizza for the road, I can’t remember seeing anything other than a beaming smile on both of their faces (and the same goes for the guests too!) - it really was one of those weddings that’s full of love and celebration. A brilliant couple, wonderful guests, incredible food, and a Bobby Dazzler of a wedding venue - what more could you ask for?

I’m well aware you’re not here to read my ramble, so I’ll let you get taking a peek at some of my camera button mashing from an utterly gorgeous day.
