Yes, I’m going to get thrashed for calling videographers sidekicks.

FAQs

  • Personally speaking, yes. For our own wedding, we absolutely loved having a 5-7 minute highlight video of the day - it encapsulated the day exactly how we wanted to remember it.

We also had full coverage of the ceremony and speeches, but we made the conscious decision to not watch those - I really didn’t want to relive ballsing up my words! That being said, we shipped a copy off to the grandparents, and they watch those more than Emmerdale (so we’ve definitely had value from them).

  • When you’re pairing me with one of my partnered videographers, you’re hiring two really well matched creatives, who will each bring value to your wedding day experience.

We know exactly how each other works, how not to get in each others way, and how to collectively maximise those couples sessions without the need for endless repetition. It really is a case of “one team one dream”.

You’ll also have a gorgeous wedding gallery and collection of videos that compliment each other perfectly.

  • Absolutely! There are many great videographers out there, and I don’t have enough space on the website to recommend them all.

Truth is, if you’ve partnered me with any semi-decent videographer who isn’t a knob - we should figure out how each other works in a matter of minutes, and work together like a well oiled machine.

And if they are a knob, I’ll just threaten them with violence in the car park.

  • I mean, you can try if you reaaaally want to. The thing to consider here - whilst it may capture the video, the sound will be awful. Capturing these parts of the day is just as much about mic’ing everyone up and syncing the sounds, as it is capturing the video.

  • Don’t hire a shit one, basically.

It’s really tempting to have a few pounds left in the budget, and think “what’s the worst that can happen?” by throwing it at a naff videographer.

Truth is, my punchy 10 minute couples sessions usually turn into 30 minutes of pulling teeth because they’ll work at a much slower pace, or ‘accidentally’ keep getting in the key shots.

  • Absolutely not - I struggle to use a camera for just photography, never mind chucking videography into the mix too! In all serious, there are those ‘it only happens once’ parts of the day that would could only be captured in either photo or video if you was to ask me to capture both. I’d much rather work as a team, knowing everything is captured in both formats.

Get in touch below, and I’ll get to work on checking availability. Unsurprisingly, both Dan + Lou get booked up pretty fast - if they’re not available, I’m sure I can rope in an equally box office videographer.
