There’s no shortage of wedding photographers, and there’s no ‘one size fits all’ for every couple - what worked for your bridesmaid may not be what you’re looking for.
Choosing your photographer has far more importance than picking a few pictures you like. You’re trusting this person to help guide you through your wedding journey, to help calm the nerves, and to give you confidence and assurance throughout the day.
One Size Fits All?
One thing I ask of all my couples - we’re both fully committed to maximising every element of your wedding day. Some couples may want to ‘chill the day away’ throughout their wedding, but that’s just not me.
Your wedding day should be a balance
In return, you’ll get my commitment to ensuring I do everything in my power to give you the wedding day of dreams. When it’s time to reflect with your loved ones - I’ll give you the time and space to do so, when it’s time to nail the couples sessions - I’ll give you a world of confidence, and when it’s time to party - you can bet your bottom dollar I’m ensuring the party hits hard.
You do this day once - lets do it properly.
We Go Big
My approach to wedding photography is fundamentally based on a documentary style, whilst being heavily influenced on an editorial look and fashion photography. I want your gallery to really tell the story of your day, whilst also looking fresh out of Vogue.
That isn’t to say we can’t have a bit of fun though - weddings are a day of celebration, and I do want that to shine through. I’ll always love a striking bridal portrait, but I equally adore the more candid moments from your day.
Editorial, But A bit Playful
Does this all sound like you’re going to be dragged away from your guests for hours on end? The reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
My main priority on a wedding day, ahead of the photographs even - is the couples experience. The more you get to enjoy your day, the better your gallery will be.
Rather than making your day one giant photoshoot, I instead focus on taking you away for a few short sessions throughout your day, without your guests even noticing you’ve gone missing. This keeps you both fresh, helps give a natural variety to your gallery, and gives you plenty of opportunity to enjoy the day with your guests.
Prioritising You
I’ll let you in to a secret here - none of my couples are models. Having couples who are a little nervous in front of the camera is totally normal - and it’s where a photographer earns their fee.
