Destination Weddings
You’ve decided that the ‘variable’ weather of a British summer maybe isn’t your vibe, and you’re hosting your party somewhere in Southern Europe instead? You’re not alone. It’s a big decision asking those close to you to jump on a plane to join you - but it’s a decision that ultimately pays off.
There is something truly special that comes with the atmosphere of a destination wedding - something that just can’t be replicated back home. Guests arrive relaxed, fully committed to being in holiday mode, and without the worry of tackling Excel spreadsheets the next day. An evening party that achieves legendary status is near enough guaranteed - and this is all before we get onto the post-wedding pool party.
So… You’re doing a runner.
Once you’ve made your initial approach, it’s time for a chat to talk through availability and plans, and to see if we’re a good fit (I know, this sounds like dating all over again).
A fundamental part of my style is really understanding couples, their stories that have led them to the world of marriage, and their vision for their wedding day. This can be over a Zoom call, or over a coffee (donut) at East Midlands Designer Outlet.
My approach is purposely more personal than simply ‘hiring a photographer’. I’m firmly of the belief that building a relationship with couples has a significant positive impact on how we can capture your day - hence the importance I place on it.
If everything looks good at this point, I’ll send you a link over to your quoting portal. From here, you can build your own personalised quote, sign your contract, pay the deposit, and have a celebratory tipple knowing we’re all booked in.
The full romance.
Destination weddings do come with their own set of unique decisions and challenges, a regular one being - do we use local suppliers? Or fly in our preferred ones? Whilst no one can give a definitive answer for every couple, a sweet spot is usually a middle ground between the two.
Regardless of country, you will never struggle to find a locally based photographer - the main challenge you’ll face is finding one with a style, approach, and personality that resonates with your vision.
My approach to weddings is a key element in being able to detail the story of your wedding day. Taking the time to understand your story, your personalities, and your wedding ambitions ensures we are perfectly aligned to deliver on your wedding aspirations.
Flying in suppliers.
If destination weddings have taught me anything, it’s that no two are ever the same. 11am or 7pm ceremonies, a four hour candle lit dinner or casual pizzas, a mid-afternoon first dance or a midnight rave - each one is unique in their own ways.
Destination coverage can range from single day, through to capturing a full weekend of celebrations. The complete Monkeymole team can be at your disposal too - ranging from myself as a sole photographer, through to team comprising of multiple photographers, videographers, and content creation.
By taking the time to understand the details of your celebration, it ensures your coverage is fully tailored to your requirements.
Keeping things tailored.
