About Us.
Here at Monkeymole Towers, we’re a small team of creatives with one clear ambition - to deliver our couples the most incredible wedding experience.
We’re firm believers that a wedding photographer isn’t someone who just turns up on your wedding day, stands in the corner pressing buttons, and sends an email with a gallery link 8-52 weeks later. They are the supplier that quite simply, can have the biggest impact on your wedding.

Meet The team
The head honcho, chief button presser, and causer of all mischief. Not only is Ashley a universally renowned photographer, he’s also dashingly handsome with a wonderful personality (he may also be the one writing this bio, with questionable facts).
I’m well known for being totally unflappable and the calmest person at a wedding, regardless of what situation needs dealing with. My focus at weddings is ensuring couples can truly enjoy all of the emotions of the day, knowing that this can be the foundations to help capture a gorgeous gallery.
I take a lot of pride in helping my couples feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, going as far as making those couples portrait sessions - dare I say, enjoyable!
Ashley
The Geordie rocket. Gets far too excited about bridal dresses, champagne towers, and any form of entertainment that includes a sax. At the request of our insurers, do not feed her Prosecco at your wedding under any circumstances - as we cannot be held responsible for her actions.
Lauren has been part of the Monkeymole team since 2019, and has helped shape our balance of style by adding an editorial feel to our guided reportage approach.
Lauren specialises in really bringing her couples personality out through her work, and loves to push the creative boundaries of the day. She is available to shoot alongside Ashley, or as your lead photographer.
Lauren
Our Southern surfer, pooch loving, camper van roamer - and we’d be utterly lost without her! Luisa has been part of the Monkeymole team since the very first day, as our own in-house dedicated editor.
Luisa has previously worked as an award winning wedding photographer, before realising her true passion lies within post production.
Her endless experience has been at the forefront in shaping Monkeymole’s artistic vision - constantly working to keep our style bang on trend, whilst maintaining a truly timeless feel to our work.
By having Luisa as part of our team, couples can be assured of their galleries being hand crafted by one of the best editors in the business.

If you want to know who the real boss of this place is, it’s undeniably Mrs Monkeymole. Whilst it’s difficult to give her an exact title, she is the master of organisation, and the glue that keeps everything together. All whilst having the unenviable title of being my long suffering partner.
Snacks prepped, questionnaires and timings checked, accommodation booked - she has an endless list of responsibilities that would warrant a ridiculous salary if they were ever fully listed out.
If you ask her nicely, she’s even been known to help couples prepare for their first dance (she’ll take any excuse to dust off her showgirl shoes).
Natalie
The newest member of the Monkeymole team, born Christmas Day 2020 (yes, I tried to name him Jesus - an idea flatly rejected by Mrs Monkeymole).
Whilst the idea is to have him as a second photographer in the very near future, due to child labour laws I’m required to state he is not currently working.
His photographic skills are already on par with mine however, so hopefully he will be available to book by his 5th birthday. He will likely already talk more sense than me at this point too.

Our mascot, fuss pot, and all round attention seeker - Ginge the 1.5 eared ex-stray cat.
The roots of Monkeymole go all the way back to volunteering photography services at my local Cats Protection branch, so when it was time to add a four legged friend to the household - they were always going to come from one place.
Whilst Ginge offers limited input into the daily operations at Monkeymole Towers, he has an excellent skill for knowing when I’m on a Zoom call (so don’t be surprised if he decides to make an appearance).

Erm, Monkeymole?
Okay, so here goes. The brand is named after my rather wonderful wife, who is the inspiration behind me taking a leap of faith into life as a wedding photographer.
After capturing a few friends weddings, I started receiving a few "I don't suppose you fancy capturing our wedding too?" type messages, which I’d never really considered. It was only when the wife told me she'd booked me two weddings, that I really didn't have a choice. (I do love capturing weddings - honest!).
As such, I needed a brand, and wanted to incorporate the wife. Those that have met her, will know during the day she typifies a monkey: bundles of energy, lots of noise, and thinks I'm a 6ft5 climbing frame. The mornings however, she's a newly born mole; barely moves, doesn't make a peep, and can barely open those little eyes!
From there, Monkeymole was born.
