1. Imported & backed up

All of your images have been downloaded onto my computer (to two separate hard drives), with a third copy saved to a cloud company in the U.S.

Your images are now queued awaiting editing to begin.

2. Culling

I’m now reviewing the thousands of photographs taken on your wedding day, and culling this down to a collection that removes unnecessary duplicates, and collating them to a series of images that tell a complimentary story of your wedding day.

On complete, the initial edit will begin.

3. Initial Edit

During this stage, significant editing is completed–covering: Exposure & tone correction, colour correction, straightening & cropping.

This stage does typically take a number of days, and is purposely spread over non-consecutive days (it really does help to continuously review with a fresh set of eyes).

4. Final Touches

This final stage covers any light Photoshop corrections needed (Emergency exit & plug socket removal, item removals from groups/hero images), along with any final adjustments to ensure uniformity across the gallery.

This ‘final gloss’ can vary wildly in timeframes, with some galleries requiring a handful of hours, and other requiring multiple days of work.
