This one has to be the type of wedding that goes down in folklore; an absolutely box office venue, a best man who brought the house down, and a bridal party so full of laughter I struggled to hold the camera. One of those days you get home and question how you can be paid for having so much fun.
It was my first time shooting at Elsham Hall. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this venue, to the point I was worried it’d live up to expectations. It did. And then some more. So many archways and pockets of charm to use as backdrops, a beautiful rustic barn feel, and some of the most gorgeous gardens that felt more in keeping with being a wedding catwalk. Even with Mother Nature giving us a splash of rain for a few hours, the photo opportunities were endless.
As far as Lee & Frankie go, they were an absolute delight to be in the company of for the day. You only had to mention one another’s name, and you’d be guaranteed a twinkle in the eye and a wry smile. This wedding felt like it was a long time coming, and was built on unwavering foundations. Lee’s best man was also on hand to remind him every 10 minutes he was punching above his weight, batting above his average, you get the idea..
I hope you enjoy taking a peek into their special day – it was truly one to remember.
